REVIVING OPHELIA. Anorexia and Bulimia are symptoms of culture that “feeds” a perception of “not good enough” and could even to be seen as promoting self-hatred. Q) Is there something more ‘secure’ about thinking we perceive the world ‘objectively’? When it brings or even begs conflict and challenge, why would anyone prefer this approach to one that sees the benefit of multiple perspectives of a given experience?
R) It is incredibly challenging to observe and experience perceptions so full of loathing. In the face of this intolerance the Pancake Girl Principles offer some helpful tips to dealings with this. Considering the other videos as well, what would you add to the PCG list below?
